Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
-
Vernon, Connecticut
How do I join the waitlist?
-
Simply fill out the waitlist form with the breed(s), whether you want hatching eggs or chicks, and the quantity you're interested in. We will contact you to confirm your request to be added to the waitlist and reach out again when availability opens.
Do you require a deposit?
-
Yes, a non-refundable deposit is required to hold hatching eggs, chicks and started pullets (when available) once we contact you with availability. This helps keeps things fair and prevents no shows from occurring.

We accept Venmo, Paypal & Cash
Do you sex your chicks?
-
No, all chicks are sold unsexed (straight run).
Do you offer started pullets?
-
Occasionally we will offer started pullets. These will be posted on our Facebook Farm Page when available. There is NO waitlist for started pullets. They are first come, first serve basis.
What age are your started pullets?
-
Typically 6-12 weeks old depending on the breed and when we can confidently sex them.
Do you offer shipping?
-
No, local pickup only in Vernon, CT.
Are your birds vaccinated?
-
No, our birds are not vaccinated. Because we are a small hobby breeder, we don't hatch enough chicks to warrant purchasing the large bulk quantities of vaccines they are sold in. We prioritize strong bio-security, keep a closed flock and focus on breeding healthy, resilient birds.
Do you allow farm visits or tours?
-
No, for strict bio-security reasons we do not offer tours. However, post pictures of our birds, coops and runs frequently on our Facebook Farm Page. You're always more than welcome to request more pictures or videos of our set up.
-
Pick ups are done in the driveway to maintain biosecurity.
What is your rooster policy?
-
Due to biosecurity and maintaining a closed flock, we do not take back any roosters.
